Keep It on Campus
Underage nightlife consists of numerous dorm parties scattered around campus or at Legends the free dance club on campus. Taxis are also always available for a reasonable fee to pack in students and take them to a nearby house party but for the most part if your underage and want to stay clear of police its fun to just party on campus.

Winter Woes
South Bend is notorious for having terrible weather from constant wind and all kinds of storms but honestly you get used to it and the campus is so pretty that I actually like the snow sometimes. There is no sun so when it does come out everyone is out on the quads which is always fun.

Money Money Money
Like any other college or university, the paperwork and numbers are annoying but once its submitted everything will be taken care of. The school does a really good job of looking at the family income and circumstances and if you do not make enough money they will provide most of the aide in scholarship rather than loans.
