Definitely Not California
The summers are sticky, but definitely bearable. The only problem is that many rooms get soooo hot, a fan is a must. Fall is nice, except that by the end of it, it gets very windy. Winter is very nice and definitely not as cold as I thought it would be. I'm from California and I'm ok with the winter, however, my roommate is from California too and she's always freezing. We both agree that it's not that bad. GET RAINBOOTS because there are definitely times when it rains a lot, but it's way too warm to use snow boots.

Academic Calendar Sucks
The academic calendar allows for a fall break, so you're home when none of your friends are home. Then we only get a two week Christmas Break to study for a two week final period and then a one week intersession. So while you're worrying over finals while opening Christmas presents, you're also wondering why they don't just combine the week-long intersession with Christmas break to give you three weeks off.
Other than that the teachers seem very eager to help any students out. The food is really great. The party scene is a bit monotonous. The football team isn't a great one. However, the people you meet here (students and faculty) are the most amazing and interesting people you will ever meet.

Generous Financial Aid
I come from a low-income family and Princeton was generous enough to pay everything except for $2,000 which I made up for with work-study. However, even people who I thought were not getting financial aid (because I've seen the size of their houses) and yet Princeton also gave them a percentage of their tuition in financial aid.
