GREAT DINING
The food options at Virginia Tech are unbelievable. My mom tries to bribe me to come home with the promise of home cook meals and it never works. Virginia Tech's 7 (with a new one being built) dining facilities have everything from all you can eat D2 (which has Asian to Italian, Burgers to cakes) to made to order cheese burgers, wraps, or even LOBSTER and STEAK. The food is close to where you live and there is always somewhere open. There is also drive through speed available with DX, a great late night snack since it is open till 2AM every night. There are two major problems though. First, you have to watch your plan, your money goes faster then you think. Second, there is not much food by the classrooms but the new dinning hall should fix that problem. Overall the food at VT is beyond my wildest expectations!!

Good Night Life
The nightlife at VT can be very fun if you know where to find a party. Most parties are in apartments that can vary in distances from dorms. The buses run late into the night to take you to whatever part of the town you want to go to. If you know people or are willing to meet them, VT's nightlife can be awesome.

Just Like the Majority
Since it is a large state college, being an engineer is like the majority of students. A lot of the college is engineers and therefore it is a very good major to be in.
