Self-Selecting
Being that our school is a) very expensive, b) in the middle of a very white state, and c) a small liberal arts college, it is not surprising that there are extremely few non-international minority students here. Those who do come here are overwhelmingly accepted, and the school does get a large amount of international students to come here as well, which leads to improved diversity and cultural understanding. However, the fundamental elements of Kenyon College make it very hard to attract minority applicants.

Hit or Miss
Some sports at Kenyon are jokes. Other sports at Kenyon are extremely serious and feature highly talented teams. Either way, the students don't really go to the home games in large numbers.

Deceptively Beautiful
Kenyon weather is the best in the country for the first three weeks and last three weeks of the school year. For everything in between, we barely see the sun. Students get seasonal affective (sp?) disorder all the time...and know that it's coming.
