Nice
FGCU is known for having very nice dorms. South Lake is popular among freshmen, but I'm a freshmen and I live in North Lake. It depends on what type of enviroment you prefer.

Like Any Other College
Drinking is very popular. FGCU is not strict about underage drinking in dorms. You will get a warning 1-2 times before they even think about any other form of punishment. Drug use is different. If your caught on campus you WILL be kicked out of the dorms, although usually not out of the school. Also, generally there's no criminal charges, you just get kicked out of the dorms.

Decent
Gym is good, although could be a little bigger. Student Center is ok. FGCU programming puts out a lot of campus activities throughout the year, such as a porn debate between Ron Jeremy and a pastor. Overall the facilities are good, but there is room to improve.

They just finished a new parking lot. As the school gets bigger the parking space does also.
