Frat parties pretty much always. Parties down the road at CBU all the time, as well. College night at Senses. Beale St. is expensive but fun every now and then for those of age. Never a shortage of on-campus opportunities though. Pay attention to the signs on the frat houses and you'll be in the know for the parties.

Rhodes is about 50% Greek, but you don't miss out on too much if you stay the independent route. All frat parties are open to the whole campus, but if you want to be able to go to swaps (themed parties with one sorority and one fraternity) and formals, then you should probably rush. Rush isn't bad, most people get into a sorority now. I'm in a sorority and I've loved it. Not only are there fun social opportunities but also good resume booster opportunities if you become an officer.

So Many Cars, So Little Spaces
Rhodes has started admitting much bigger classes over the last few years and it is causing the parking situation to dry up. There is always enough parking for the freshman (since they have their own designated lot where they have to park) but for the upperclassmen, it's every man for himself. It's not too bad right now, but it's going to get worse if they don't start making more parking spaces.

Two Words: Guard Shack
At Rhodes, we're enclosed in what we like to call "the bubble." There's a fence all the way around and a guard shack at the entrance to control who gets in. The honor code tends to keep most of the students in check, so there's not a lot of issues with theft on campus.

Most of the kids here are pretty preppy and some can be real snobs. I suppose you'll have jerks, sluts, and snobs anywhere, though. There are definitely some gems here, though. I found my own little group and they're the best friends I could have asked for.

Love
I've loved my time at Rhodes. Even though they ended up not having a specific major for what I wanted to go into, I was able to make up for it by taking a class or two at CBU and also taking certain other classes in other disciplines. It's been challenging, but in a good way.
