Harrisonburg
Well, first off, Rockingham/Harrisonburg is the meth capital of the east coast. Going out into the town you definitely see meth addicts which is pretty sketchy. There's also a lot of amish people who have a nice farmer's market. A lot of stuff (like walmart) is within walking distance but for the further things (mall, target) there are buses that will get you there. The normal citizens of Harrisonburg are pretty nice.

Well freshman can't have cars, but you're really fine without one. The buses are actually really good ('specially the drunk bus on the weekends, though it can get CRAMMED). Harrisonburg is in the middle of nowhere so there aren't any airports or train stations around here to get home. Most people who go home over the weekends (who don't have their own cars) either get their parents to come get them or a friend drives them home. Parking sucks here when you have a car.

The weather here really isn't bad, but it does change a LOT. It's fall currently and we've been fluctuating every few days between 60s and 30s. It snowed in october this year, on halloweekend, which was crazy cold. On rainy days, it tends to rain for a bit in the morning then stop.
