Boston College Computers was reviewed by han399475

Most students have their own laptops here, but both of the libraries have computers you can use or just use to print from. We have both Macs and PCs in the libraries. Each semester students get 500 pages for printing, otherwise it is $0.03 for each page beyond that. The internet here is pretty fast, and it is wireless. We have two networks: one for general use on the campus and one for students and faculty. The libraries also have a rental system if your laptop needs repairs so you are not without.

Boston College Drug Safety was reviewed by han399475

Drinking, Not Smoking – Most students drink here no matter what grade. Not as many do drugs, but pot is the most common. Alcohol is a part of most weekend activities. It is really easy to get caught drinking in freshmen dorms because of the RAs. So go to upper classmen dorms or off campus to be safe. Also, we have a policy where if you are concerned for your well being or your friend's, you can call the police, and they will take you to the infirmary and you avoid getting in trouble.

Wrong. Smoking is almost as common as drinking. I've been at BC for just one semester and can attest to this fact.

no it well effect your life and your grades

The campus has its own shuttle that goes around the campus, the off-campus housing, and to the nearest subway T-stop to take you into Boston. There is another T-stop line at the base of lower campus which is convenient as well.

Boston College Facilities was reviewed by han399475

We have a very nice and well-maintained facilities. Currently we are about to start the 10 year plan to build new dorms, a new workout facility, and a new student center. The academic buildings are very nice. One of the libraries looks like it could have been from a Harry Potter movie.

All freshmen dorms are grouped together which helps with the transition into the first year. Freshman either live on Upper Campus on the Chestnut Hill Campus or on Newton Campus which is a 5 minute shuttle away. The dorms are simple but in very good condition. Most buildings have laundry facilities in the basement.

There are blue lights all over campus that you can use to call 911. All student IDs have the numbers for all of the police on campus and in the area and health services. BC is located in a very nice, affluent suburb of Boston creating a safe environment for students.

Always Something Going on – Freshmen housing doesn't really permit drinking in the dorms, but there is always a place at upper clansmen housing or off-campus. Many people go there. Many also go to the bars that are just a shuttle bus ride away.

Boston Has So Much! BC has its own 'T' stop that you can use to take all the way into Boston. In Boston, you can explore the historical sites on the Freedom Trail, go to a restaurant, or go to one of the many sporting events. Or you could take it to Newbury street which has so many clothing stores and restaurants and dessert places. At BC there is always stuff to do as well including football, basketball, and hockey or going into the town of Newton.
