It's Okay
I personally have not yet experienced anything that could jeopardize my safety around campus, but it is located in a not-so-safe part of town so caution is always helpful.

Good Variety of Selection
found all over campus. Dining Hall, as I've heard, is pretty good as well. The food places to choose from in the Student Union runs from Starbucks to Panda Express so there's definitely variety. The prices are affordable also. There's a Subway and Einstein's Bagel located in the less popular areas around campus so it's convenient finding a place to eat whenever.

Awesome!
Since the campus is centralized in the city, it is literally surrounded by a multitude of places to eat. Prices range from college student friendly to very high-end restaurants for those special occasions. From Indian, to Japanese, Mexican, and good-old American, you can find a great variety around campus any time of the day.
