History Department Kicks Ass
At BU, this history department is small and homey, like the brownstone building it is housed in. However, the ideas contained within the faculty of about 20, are vast. The history department has the most dedicated, caring professors, and they really try to simulate student involvement and interest. We are also provided with the option of large lecture courses or small discussion-based courses, which is awesome. Be careful of getting stuck in a discussion with all Ed students though...

Never Felt Unsafe, Always Healthy
BU is great for safety, because there are always campus police around watching out for us. So, even though we're in a big city, we're taken care of. The dorms are very well secured/guarded as well. As far as health, SHS is great - free gynocological services, condoms, and treatment of any other health issue you may have. The Mental Health dept. is great too - AND SHS offers $40 massages by an experienced sports massage therapist!

Not in It for a Reason
Some people like it, but it is not the kind of Greek Life you find on Southern campuses. No sorority houses, the frat houses are not in beautiful old buildings (BU sold ours to MIT years ago), and the girls and guys are not that interesting or nice. It's basically a boring waste of time, and most of their parties suck. Also, our Greek scene is not big on philanthropy at all..
