Not a real "city school"

Although Duquesne is technically in the City of Pittsburgh, students like myself really never felt that way. The campus is located on it's own piece of land, better known as "the bluff." During my freshman year at Duquesne, I never felt like I was ever in the city of Pittsburgh, I just felt like I was at Duquesne. Looking at schools like the University of Pittsburgh, true city schools, I much prefer Duquesne's atmosphere. For one, the campus feel is so much greater at Duquesne (since we actually have one) and there is also a much greater sense of community. People are extremely friendly, the Power Center is the best gym, and classes are great. Great atmosphere, you will see all types of people.
