Are there any country boys here?

YES !!

Definitely! Mizzou has so many people from so many different types of backgrounds, and we have a huge agriculture school. Everyone is really nice and you can definitely see cowboy boots all over campus.

What is the difference between the act and sat, which one would you consider easier to get a high score?

The only real differece would be the regions that accept them and the grading scale.I personally think the ACT might be a little easier.

The ACT is a little easier in my opinion. I never studied and got a 24.

ACT for sure. I didnt study and got a 26

It honestly depends on where you go to school. If you want to go to KU take the ACT, but if you want to go to college in Texas, Cali, or the east coast SAT for sure.

ACT has more sections: math, reading, English, writing, science. SAT is just math, reading, and writing. I think it depends if you're more of a math (ACT) or more of an English person (SAT). Also I think one of them might penalize you for guessing (i.e. it's best to leave blanks), and one doesn't but I can't quite remember.

The SAT has 10 or so sections lasting about 25 minutes each, while the ACT has 4 sections that are 50 minutes each. On the SAT there are sections of math (algebra I and II & geometry), critical reading, and writing plus an essay. The ACT has math (algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry), English, Reading, and Science. They are scored differently, SAT out of 2400 and the ACT out of 36. Some people say that the ACT is easier, but this is necessarily always true. I'd suggest you take a full length practice exam of each to see which one you do better on.

It's different for every person; try to take a practice test for each and see which one is better for you. Try this: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/04/education/edlife/guidance.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I'd go to a bookstore and look at review books and see the types of questions. Which seems easier to you? The Princeton Review person who spoke at our school said boys do better on the SAT and girls do better on the ACT.

Is Missouri more of a basketball or football school? How are the fans, are they actually good at anything.

Missouri is definitely a football school. The fans are very enthusiastic for games and the entire atmosphere during a game is amazing! The entire school comes together on game days to watch the athletes and encourage them throughout the game.
