Very Safe
This is a very safe campus. To my knowledge, there is only a little bit of petty theft among students which is not unique to this campus. This campus has the friendliest students in the world. *As a small caveat, one night a few drunken students committed about $500 worth of damage to my car and I was not compensated for it.

The parties and nightlife is really lame in Towson. A lot of people go to parties at other universities but they also tend to be dirty, smelly, and crowded. I much prefer the nightlife in DC or Miami. That said, it's a great place to get homework done on a Saturday night!

It rains a lot... but it's not really a big deal, especially because the campus is so small.

Top Notch Library
The athletic center is great, the library (atheneum) is very choice. It is more than just a library, it has exercise equipment on the top floor, a cafe, couches, and so many places where you can study. We also have a computer area that has wide screen apples with the option of a P.C. layout. I love the library!

Prevalent but Low-Key
Alcohol is more common among freshman which I think is typical. It seems as if the majority of students smoke pot and it's only a problem when they do it in their rooms and set off the smoke alarm or make their entire hall stink of it. In that case, public safety is called and deals with the individual. If you don't smoke, you won't be pressured into doing so and you may not ever witness it being done. I think that there should be more harsh penalties on students who break these rules. I think Goucher is too lenient.
