Alcohol Visibility

There is some underage drinking on campus. It can either be a big thing or not depending on who you hang out with or what groups you join or what dorm you live in. There is a lot of police enforcement on campus from both the town and campus police. there are also nightly patrols in the dorms from the resident advisers. It is possible for people to not drink because there is no real pear pressure to drink. There is also a lot of tailgating for football and basketball season. the students take up a whole section on the tennis courts on campus and there are a lot of alumni tailgating as well.

Punishements Are Moderate

It depends on what you get caught doing. There is little tolerance to dealing drugs or taking them. However, if you are underage and you get caught drinking in the dorms by the resident advisers they will just make you poor out what you are drinking and will either write you up if this is not your first time being caught drinking or they will just give you a verbal warning if it is your first time being caught. You have three chances to get written up in the dorms before they kick you out. If you are being good about what kind of party you have in the dorms, if you are quiet and don't walk around the halls with what you are drinking then they Resident advisers either won't notice that you are drinking in your room or won't be called by other people living in the dorms. Police however are not so forgiving if they find if you have been drinking underage. You will either get a warning or a ticket for underage drinking or drug use.
