Off-Campus Dining Is Very Convenient
There are major varieties of off-campus dining within the vicinity of the campus. If not walking distance, public transportation using streetcars along historic routes and the eco-friendly buses that are also available. There is the typical junk food [McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's] and local restaurants [burger and hamburger joints, Mexican restaurants, pizza joints] and your fine dining restaurants are available too. Downtown is about 20 - 30 minutes using public transportation [under 15 minutes when not during rush hour].

Tualne Is a Very Diverse Campus
There are a variety of ethnic/racial diversity. Middle-income to high-income families send students here. Many programs that pull adults who either never finished college or had finished but want to continue education -- Tulane has many programs.

Parking Nightmares but Accesible
There are zones all around campus and on campus. During the day, parking on campus requires permits, which are extremely expensive, but pays the Campus police pretty good. The campus is well guarded with officers on bike, well watched with officers on foot and w/ security cams placed strategically along student walk paths. Faculty parking tends to smother many places for students. There are very few areas for visitor parking. daily permits are available for a reasonable price.
