What Greek Life?
The Greek life at Hofstra generally goes unnoticed to the non-greek students. They do throw some house parties and host specials at the local bars but the students aren't interested in who's hosting the event, they just want to get drunk. Greek life is more considered a nuance to non-greek students because of their abruptness during Greek festivities.

Parking Overload
There is an abundance of parking at Hofstra, most of which is allocated in the wrong place. There is plenty of parking around the dorms, but the dorms are anywhere from a 5-20 minute walk to class (albeit a beautiful walk when the weather is nice). There is a large percentage of commuter students at Hofstra, and in my experience they have a difficult time finding parking near classes. So just show up early and enjoy the walk with fellow students!

Typical Northeastern Weather
Weather is Weather. Classes probably get cancelled too much due to snow and rain. Rain? Yea, Long Island has a serious flooding problem, but don't let that discourage you. Students take full advantage of their rainy days by playing mud games in the intramural fields.
