Internships Are Accessible – If you need to have an internship, they are very accessible. NDSU is highly respected in this community and employers like to hire students here to be interns. These jobs are usually very rewarding. Finding an internship is very easy. A quick stop at the career center will get you ways to get in contact with a variety of companies who hire interns.
Relatively Lax – NDSU has its own police. These people take their job seriously and enforce the laws and rules. There is a smoking ban on campus. However, this is extremely hard to enforce and it is hardly ever forced. The RAs can be strict and they can be lax, it all depends. One of the most serious offenses in the residence halls is smoking pot. This is not tolerated.
State of the Art – Everything at NDSU is up to date. Our wellness center has recently been built and has everything in it but a pool (which is rumored to be added in 2013 or 2014). Our union is comfortable and a nice place to relax, eat, study, have meetings, play pool, bowl, and more. There are a plethora of activities to do on campus. The residence halls as well as other organizations are continually putting on campus wide events. There are flowers hanging along the roads, the grass is green, there is a "Babbling brook" where people go to relax and/or study. The library is a little small and run down but it has a huge online collection, if you need it you can find it.
Are you interested in anything? You will be able to find it at North Dakota State University. If you play a sport you will either be able to find a club team or a college-run sport. There are a plethora of activities that you can join. There are a ton of majors and the instructors are all really friendly and helpful. It's fine if you go to, say a math instructor if you need help with math in a like a science class
