Drug and Alcohol Usage
Drugs are not very common on campus. They are not really seen of available unless you try to find them. Alcohol usage is about average of any college campus, and relatively visible. Although, all parties are off-campus.

The Duquesne Experience
Classes are large at Duquesne. If you are not use to this, it could be a difficult adjustment. Duquesne is extremely unique because it feels like a college campus even though you are right in the heart of Pittsburgh. Most activities are off-campus, so get use to walking ALOT, or bring plenty of cash for cabs, or the Port Authority Bus.

Duquesne Parking
Parking is a headache. It is expensive and difficult to find a spot unless it is 2 AM. Freshmen can not park on campus, at all. Permits are expensive. You don't really need a car on campus, it is easy to get around Pittsburgh without one.
