Definitely a Small College Town
Ithaca, NY is a college town with Cornell and Ithaca College creating most of the atmosphere. Ithaca is a pretty liberal and open place. Very friendly toward college students and a good amount to do in the town for any type of person.

Great for Journalism
Ithaca College is one of the best journalism schools and lives up to those standards as far as I can tell. The professors and courses in the major are great and not at all stuck in the past ways of conducting journalism. Journalism students are generally challenged to achieve more than they thought they could but still also typically supported well. For example the 20 page story that all 2nd term freshman conduct on a topic of their choosing.

Excellent Journalism but Ability to Explore
As a Journalism major not only do I enjoy my Journalism classes but also my non-journalism courses, which are generally interesting. Gen Ed requirements for Journalism majors aren't too hard but still worth your time since Ithaca offers a lot of different courses in various subjects. The only requirement I don't like is the Foreign Language requirement that takes four terms of credits to complete if you don't come to Ithaca with AP credits.
