Extremely Safe, a Bit Sheltered
Goucher is a relatively peaceful & quite enclave in Towson. When I was a student, there were very few legit instances of crime & violence. Everybody would always leave their computers & other valuables in the library. There was a lot of drug use though. Also, the campus did not yet have an effective sexual assault policy. Apparently, thefts have increased in the years since my graduation.

70 / 30 Girls to Guys Ratio
There is a 70 / 30 ratio of girls to guys on campus. A lot of guys take advantage of this, which is really not cool. Especially on such a small campus. Most Goucher students are quirky and eccentric. Don't expect to find frat bros or sorority girls !

Great Peace Studies, Psych, and Women's Studies Programs
Very few schools in the US offer humanistic psychology courses, as well as women's studies & peace studies majors. I applied to Goucher because it offers all three!
