Very Convenient
Some of the dorms could use an upgrade as far as appearance goes; however, the dorms make it very convenient for students to leave their building and get to the dining hall or to classes easier than if they lived in the on-campus apartments. You can choose to live on a same sex floor or a mixed floor and each floor has their own kitchen. Four rooms (called pods) share one bathroom with two sinks, a toilet and a shower. There is a housekeeper who cleans monday through friday and makes sure everything is neat. You can live in a single, double, or triple. There are washers and dryers in the basement for doing laundry as well as workout equippment for exercising. Each floor has a lounge with couches for socializing or studying. The first floor has a television and DVD player for watching sports games or movies. Overall, dorm life is pretty nice.

Skidmore
Skidmore is unique because it is a small liberal arts college that really focuses on the needs of the students. It is very easy to get a job because everything on campus is run by students. We do not have fraternities or soroities but that does not shield the campus from any fun. There is always something to do and there are many clubs. Our campus has events almost every night of the week for students to enjoy and participate in. Skidmore offers internships, scholarship, and opportunities for students to excell. Skidmore is definitely unique.

Financial Aid
Currently I am on a full ride to Skidmore College. I was dedicated in high school and had very good grades. You just have to want it and show them that you want it. Also, familial financial situations are also taken into account when offering financial aid to students.
