WVU is full of school spirit and it really shows. West Virginia has no professional sports teams, so The Mountaineers are the heart and soul of the state. You'll see current students, alumni, families, everyone comes out and supports the Eers!

Hit or Miss
Mostly students will rely on the PRT to get from campus to campus, but it's sort of hit or miss. When it works, it's a great option....but it doesn't always work. And forget catching a bus if you're on a tight schedule, because they are always late. But fortunately, most of the campus is easily accessible by foot.

Four Seasons
It's four seasons weather, be prepared to deal with all different types of weather. If you're from the northeast, you'll be use to it though..

Very Safe Campus
Mostly everyone is college students there. You can feel sale, even walking home at 2 A.M. There are police present as well as campus security and night staff patrolling the main streets and dorms.

Lots of Greek Life
Greek life is a big part of WVU. There are many active frats and sororities on campus. I've been tp a few frats to party, each frat is similar, but has a few key differences. Most frats are cool, some are stuck up though.

Financial Aid Is Stingy If You're Out of State
Most financial aid seems to go to in-state students and athletes, regardless of your academics. I am a 4.0 student and did not receive any type of scholarship from WVU the year I attended.
