Drinking Is Much More Prevalent
I don't really know anything about the drug scene at Purdue, but Drinking is very popular on campus especially in the Greek and Cooperative systems and has led to many problems this semester. Thought the University has done a good job of trying to fix them as much as possible

Unpredictable
The weather is largely unpredictable it can be 70 degrees in the middle of November or 40 in early October depending on what storms are coming especially since you have to factor in lake effect but overall it's not too bad
