The parking situation in my opinion at MCLA is horrible and I am not sure if it will get better. First, they charge $100/semester for a student living on campus to park! Second, they have switched a lot of parking around because they are putting new buildings in and I don't know if they have room for more parking. Lastely, they give us stupid parking tickets for parking in commutor parking stops over night!
MCLA Campus Buildings. The facilities on campus are ok. Some of them are older and need or are in the process of being renovated. The library, student center which is great because it has just been redone, and athletic centers are great because they have been redone also. They are in the process of building a science building, which will be beneficial. Also, the residents halls also have been redone and are great.
Town of MCLA's North Adams. The town nearby the school, North Adams, is relatively quite. There is specifically more atmosphere and interactions on or nearby campus. MCLA has a lot of event that also include the community. The school is very close by the sports complex, a movie complex, down town restaurants, the library, local grocery stores, and even a bar for night live for college students. There is always seasonal parades, zumba dances, and a festival each year.
I have had problems here at MCLA with them; first I can't get a lot of financial aid as it is. Also when I email someone from the Bursars office, out of respect and professionalism the right thing to do is to email the person back no matter what, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes the process isn't as easy as I think it should be.
Our college is actually well diversed and there isn't a lot of racism at all, which is wonderful. Also, there are different kinds of clubs for different ethnic groups, religions, etc.
Berkshire Towers – I like the place because I have a single, but I would like it to be a little cleaner, and have the elevators working all the time. I persnally would like to see a little more interaction with everyone in the towers, but it is getting much better.
