Safe Campus
Campus is really safe. I've walked around campus at all hours of the night and have never felt uncomfortable. There is security visible at most times. The neighborhood surrounding the school is nice and really safe and I have never seen anyone on campus who looked like they shouldn't be there. There are some areas that could be better lit at night but other than that, it's a very safe, small campus

Freshmen Dorms
There are 2 girls dorms: Moore and Loro. They both have good and bad things about them. Moore is close to the gym, academic buildings and all of the freshman boys' dorms. Loro is newer, has an elevator (which comes in handy when moving in) but is on the other side of campus. It is close to the dining hall and the apartments (where the upperclassmen live and where many parties are). The boys dorms are Marsh, Dennis and Wood. Basically Marsh is the party dorm while the other two are just for people to sleep. If you're a boy, you're gonna wanna live in Marsh.
Obviously some rooms are bigger than others but compared to other college dorms, ours are pretty decent. I honestly don't have any complaints about my living arangements this year.

It's a Beautiful Campus
There are a lot of attractive people here. It is a somewhat preppy school so you're gonna see the frat boys wearing their polos and khakis and girls wearing sweater sets and pearls. There are, however, many different types of people here and there is someone for everyone. Kids here like to mingle at parties and everyone is pretty friendly.

Computers
There are plenty of computer labs around campus that are available for students to use. The computers in the library are the most used and can be slow, especially when logging on. There are usually computers available though. Students get a certain amount of print credits per semester but many find it more convenient to just have their own printer in their room.

Partying
The party scene is great for a small school. It does revolve mainly around greek life but during the weekends, there is always something going on. The weekend starts on Thursday (at least for those with a light classload on Fridays). Thursday nights are usually more chill, with some off-campus or apartment parties that are more laid back. There are also 18+ club nights on Thursdays. Fridays are more wild with bigger parties. Saturday nights are when the frat "lodges" are open. They are basically the on campus frat houses with lots of dancing. Richmond students live by the motto "work hard, play harder"

Richmond Is Awesome
Probably the best thing about UR is the people and how much school pride there is. There is a great balance of challenging work and amazing experiences. The people here are smart and have come to learn but at the same time, love going absolutely crazy on the weekends. I'm so happy I came to Richmond and have loved my time here so far!
