A Great Experience
50% guys, 25% girls are greek. The greek scene doesn't dominate campus, but it's a fantastic support group and source of fun for those who choose to be members. The greek atmosphere relates somewhat to the campus atmosphere, which is part of what makes the greek community so great, because you know that you have something in common with everyone, no matter what their affiliation, because we're all nerds in one way or another.

I don't drive, but i know very few people who do, unless they live in greek housing with its own parking, because parking is in short supply and very expensive in Boston in general.
But you don't need a car on campus, because bus and subway system is so great, plus most places students want to go to are in walking distance.

Fantastic
MIT doesn't do scholarships, they do need based financial aid. And in my experience, they follow through with their promise to help out should your financial situation change for the worse.
