Typical Community College – I didn't find anything extremely unique about this school. It was comfortable due to it's almost rural setting and small class sizes, but the lack of parking is inconvenient, the teachers that truly try to teach you are undervalued, and you are forced to deal with advisors who are annoyed that they are REQUIRED to advise you. I'd consider going to ACTC again, but not for the same program. It'd be for a casual learning experience, if anything.

Never Bothered – I didn't even try to go through the career center for help. My career is a bit hard to come by in this area, because there are two schools churning out Surgical Tech grads each year, and there's a limited number of hospitals apply with.

Ashland Community & Technical College Tuition & Financial Aid was reviewed by jcantrell0018
A+

No Problem If You Don't Procrastinate – I had no trouble at all with my financial aid, but I went looking for answers to my questions instead of waiting for someone to just throw the answers in my lap, as well. All my paperwork was done early, and I always called or visited when I had a question. Everyone was very quick and cordial with me. The students that I hear gripe about financial aid wait til the last minute to get their aid, and by then everyone's going all at once to get things straightened out, so there's a long wait to speak with someone. Don't wait.

Typical Post-High School Students – Many young kids just trying to get a quick degree and do what they can to get through the classes with as little effort as possible. It's a different story with the people that are in actual programs, like nursing.
