East Carolina University Parking was reviewed by jcn0604
B+

Most students (especially freshman) cannot get a close parking space to classes on the main campus, but transportation provided by the university for the students is convenient and provides for the main campus as well as most of the popular off-campus residencies. I belive that that is encouraged. As upper-classmen you can get parking permits to park closer to campus but still may need to catch a bus for the rest of the way. I wouldn't take a chance parking in other areas without a permit because you may get towed.

The school offers excellent academic programs for the students and a lot of club or leadership activities to participate in. I think it does its best to ensure convenience for the students from transportation to media/technology. There are so many options available for students to study whatever they want and possibly where they want at the same time. I believe this is what makes it so unique.

ECU campus life is excellent. There are so many activities to get involved in from extracurricular to sports. Throughout the year the school hosts a variety of social activities for the students also. The area is known for its numerous eating places so you can find just about anything you want. Gameday is always big and the students take great pride in their mascot.

ECU is known for its party life. Generally there a lot of house parties starting around mid-week through the weekend as well as downtown night life. Generally, you may be able to find some party any day of the week but more during the weekend.

East Carolina University Weather was reviewed by jcn0604

The climate in this area is very favorable. Summers are hot and winters can be cold or mild. Usually the weather is not extreme which means classes will not be affected by weather most of the time. Occassionally there will be some bad weather that will affect classes but not often. Most of the time you can see students enjoying the outdoors year round.

East Carolina University Diversity was reviewed by jcn0604

This school welcomes people from all different backgrounds although it is predominately white. It is common to see all different kinds of people interacting on campus. It is one of the stronger things about this school. There should be more diversity in student leadership. I think that the school could do something to encourage this more.

I had a personal computer, but when I had to use the computer lab I usually didn't have any problems. There seemed to be enough computers, and internet access and supplies were reliable.

Financial aid process can be a hassle. Start early in applying for aid and stay on top of things. You won't be as stressed right before the semester starts if you do it this way.

Transportation options are very favorable. Routes provide access to shopping areas, campus buildings, and most major off-campus residencies. Late-night routes are also available on campus and downtown areas on the weekends for those night crawlers.
