Beauty Comes at a Price...

Santa Clara is absolutely gorgeous but it definitely comes with one or more pricetags.. if you enjoy partying and were fairly popular in highschool, then you would thrive here. However, greek life here can overwhelm the place at times, which makes it difficult for the more introverted type to feel a part of the community. Nonetheless, there are opportunities and great people around, you just have to look hard and be able to tolerate the constant "party mode" that most people live off of.

Guys & Girls at Santa Clara University

Fratty and Bratty

The new surge of 'fratiness' has swarmed Santa Clara. Guys live in their bro tanks and shorts, coming off as extremely douchey and immature. Dont even try looking for boyfriend material until at least junior year, because they are purely interested in hooking up until that stage. Nonetheless, they are fun to look at when they aren't screaming across the campus being incredibly annoying. Girls in sororities can be dangerous at times too. When they are together, they are stuck-up, loud, and stupid. If you're looking for genuine guys and girls who aren't constantly partying and fixing their hair, volunteer with SCAAP!

Inside Scoop at Santa Clara University

RLC's

The school's RLC system sets SCU apart from most schools because it works to unite a residence hall under a common theme. This is really helpful during freshmen year because you get to meet so many people in your dorm through your RLC class and residence hall events. The unfortunate thing about SCU is that most people do not partake in on-campus events. These events come off as 'lame' and students would much rather party across the street at the frats. Because there are no big sports teams to go to, there is no team spirit here which makes it difficult to develop a sense of pride for being a Bronco.
