Average
Everyone is very friendly, there is a large athletic part of the student body that sticks together. No one has major attitudes, and it is not clique like. The guys are average, it is small so can feel like high school a little bit.

Can Get Monotonous
All the parties are on campus for everyone under 21. Those 21 and over party on campus and also go to a local bar called the Trappe Tavern, most known for silver coin night and pitchers and wings. The parties are mostly in suites in the upperclassmen hall Reimert. There are house parties in the houses along main street owned by sororities and fraternities. Most of those are closed to a select group until 10 and then they open for everyone. The party scene does tend to get monotonous, as it is a lot of the same thing every weekend. It is mostly the same groups that party all the time, and being a small school you see a lot of the same people out every time. It is nice thateverything is on campus so no worries about how your getting there and driving issues. None the less campus safety is very lenient with alcohol rules, the main one is no open container outside of a suite, and none in the freshman dorms. I would say Ursinus students do know how to have a good time.

CIE
CIE or known as the Common Intellectual Experience:
It is like an English class, because it involves the reading and discussion of books. It is a required course for all students even transfers. It allows for everyone to have a common background to begin from. It is cool because even if you are not in the same class as someone they are discussing the same thing, so it allows for a common ground between all students immediately once classes start. Some of the texts are also very interesting along with the typical few boring ones. It is a very easy class the only assignments are four papers, and then grading on class participation. The class sizes are around 15 students so very tiny and a lot of discussion.

Freshman Housing Is Not That Bad
Yes the freshman housing is old, however it is the best location on campus. It is closest to everything, and it is nice to live with only freshman your first year it allows for more bonding. Being a sophomre this coming year I am going to miss being down the hall from all my friends, now we are spread out all over campus. Housing selection for upperclassmen is done through a lottery system, and leaves very few options for sophomores. All the singles will be taken by seniors, any suites in reimert will be gone, and suites in New and North are taken by seniors and juniors leaving a bunch of triples and doubles, in houses on main street and not the ones across from the school either, those are all squatted by greek organizations.
