Student Body Is Active...
...in every sense of the word "active." It is a safe generalization to say that every Middlebury student finds their niche in a student organization, from volunteering to sports to political groups to student government to newspaper... the list goes on. While the academics are rigorous at Midd, each student finds something to be passionate about beyond their course work. Often, students find exploring the beautiful Vermont landscape is the perfect way to unwind from academia. Every weekend, students take part in outdoor activities ranging from skiing, running, biking, hiking, climbing, ice skating, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, etc. J-term is the perfect time to play in the snowy mountains of Vermont, as most students take one class during the month of January that meets 2 to 3 times a week. "Lazy" is not in the vocabulary of a Midd kid.

Big Pricetag, Was It Worth It?
Okay, Middlebury is muy expensivo. BUT- it's not called "Club Midd" for nothing... cushy dorms all 4 years, state of the art everything, top top top notch professors, new this, replaced that, and staff for every little problem that you might run into and to help you every step of the way. Everything is personal at Middlebury. If you have a problem there will be a person who will help you in person, especially when it comes to financial aid issues (understanding loans, finding scholarships, etc.) I got some financial aid, had an off-campus job for some cash on the side, but overall it was incredibly expensive. BUT, apparently the alumni give tons of $$ back to Middlebury.. so get back to me in like, 30 years and ask me if my education helped me make big bucks in the long run, or if I just simply went on a long vacation at Club Midd.
