Can you pick where you wanna room?

Recently they changes the system so you can request, although nothing is guaranteed.

You can list preferences for buildings, and request a change if you don't like it, but nothing is guaranteed. North Green and the Towers seem to be the most competitive.

What are the best dorms at JMU?

The best dorms are definitely in Bluestone. Skyline is also a favorite, however it's located on east campus and can be inconvenient if your classes are mostly on the quad.

Do early action applicants find out on December 20th, or before or after the 20th?

If you apply early to the University of South Carolina you will find out on December 20th.

Its usually somewhere around that time, just be on the lookout the week of the 20th

One of my son's classmates got his acceptance letter in the mail today. So they're coming!!! Good luck

With a 3.1 GPA, A 4.6 weighted GPA, 4 AP classes, out of state, with a 570 math and 550 reading sat score, what are my chances of being admitted into USC?

I understand in the most recent freshman admitted class, the average SAT was over 600 both math and reading, 65 valedictorians in the lass and 70% admitted over a 3.5 GPA.

Pretty high. USC is big on admitting out-of-state and even out-of-country people. If you did pretty good on the AP exams, then the $ AP classes will look really good. I wouldn't worry about getting in.

Pretty high! I got in with a weighted 3.99

Do you think it's easier to get in after the Sandusky incident?

no, it's the same. I actually think the competition has gotten worse.

I think they are accepting more foreign applications to put more focus on other issues. I think the accepance rate would remain the same. However reported pedophiles would not have a chance getting in now.

A funny thing happens during crisis applications usually go up. After the murders at VT after the murders at Appalachian Law School. All PSU had was a dirty old man no one got murdered. Have to put some silver lining on an awful situation.

Truthfully, I think that Sandusky who sexually molested children would make it seem harder to trust someone after that inccident that can be very unsettling for children, but can also be disturbing towards adults as well. Even though he didn't murder anyone, he was never signed up to molest a child which is most certainly unacceptable and no different than a person selling drugs.

I don't think so. the sandusky incident left a $60 million dollar scar from ncaa sanction, the difficulty is the same, even with the sandusky incident, but expect to pay more.
