What is school pride like here? Being a city school, I know it is not comparable to that of a large state school, but what is the general feeling of students towards their school? For example, do people attend sports/tailgate? Also, does most of the nightlife take place on or off campus?

There is a limited sense of school pride. I see people wearing 'rival' school gear like Harvard, BU and BC. The pride comes more for our academics. I've only seen the hockey stadium filled once. Large amounts of people rarely show up to games. It's pretty sad to see all the empty seats. There of course are the few people who have extreme pride but its not like the typical state schools where school pride is really big. The nightlife mainly takes place off campus at MIT frats.
