Nightlife
There are not many choices for underage nightlife. Everywhere one goes there is drinking. Also, the clubs are very dirty and trashy. I wouldn't feel safe going. You can always find a party, but not everyone wants to drink to have fun.

Financial Aid
At UT, it is EXTREMELY hard to get scholarships because there are so many students. I feel like I worked harder than most students in high school so that I wouldn't have to pay as much. I have 5 scholarships, and I still owe money for tuition. Once you have been in your major's college, look for scholarships through it because you will have more luck than with general scholarships.

Nursing
I love the college of nursing here. All of the professors want you to do well and are very helpful and accessible. I want to be a nurse one day, and I will definitely be prepared because of UT's nursing program. I don't really have any concerns about finding a job after graduating because almost all hospitals always need nurses.

Off Campus Dining
Most off campus dining is reasonably priced, but it would be nice for it to me cheaper or have a student discount which no where offers. Many restaurants are conveniently located and within walking distance. Cookout is definitely the place to checkout for variety, cost, and convenience!

Housing
Living on campus is MUCH more convenient and usually less expensive than living on campus. However, some of the dorms are a little dated. You definitely meet a lot more people in the dorms. The housing process is pretty easy, but because there are so many students, it can be hard to get the hall or room you want. For freshmen, I would recommend Morrill, and for upperclassmen, I would recommend Vol Hall.

Weather
The hills and distance between both ends of campus can be annoying when it's hot or cold or raining. You either end up soaked from sweat, soaked from rain, or can't feel your face and fingers from the cold. I definitely recommend rainboots!
