Academics at University of Mississippi

A

Keep Calm and Study on

For my first year at Ole Miss, I was in the Biology program. The material my professors covered was very intense. It is definitely a difficult field of study. However, the professors tried their best to explain it to me. The workload of the class was overbearing at times; I literally needed to eat, breath, and think Biology. The quality of the class was great, but the exams were way over my head. However that is a downfall on my part, not the teachers. They did a wonderful job teaching, I just didn't understand their tests.

Off-Campus Housing at University of Mississippi

C

Ugh, Dorm Life.

Nothing is cool about living in a dorm that was built in the 70s. It was either really hot in there or really cold. The bathrooms were gross; the housing staff did not do a great job cleaning. The cost wasn't terrible. The parking was good if you found a spot and didn't move for weeks at a time. Safety was a definite plus. There were locks on all doors into the building. There were safety stoppers on the windows.

Greek Life at University of Mississippi

A

Fratastic and Sorostitutes.

Greek life is big at Ole Miss. Greek students are usually viewed as stuck up and too into partying. However, many are laid back and just like to have a good time. Many are intelligent and are a big part in campus life such as the Associated Student Body. All greeks have housing available for their members.
