Greeks: Fun but It's Not the End of the World If You Aren't One
Greek life at Tulane is fun, but isn't as big as the Greek's would like to think they are. It's no state school. But generally, greek life is pretty chill and it's fun to pre-game at greek parties, before you actually go out. A lot of greeks take themselves way too seriously. It's usually the kids who weren't that cool in high school or recently got hot. Basically the insecure kids. Frats have the most disgusting accommodations known to man. But then again, I guess guys don't really care about cleanliness. Sororities have pretty cute houses, but no one really wants to live in the house cause of restrictions.

Transportation Is Readily Available
Saferide! Downtown Shuttles are available. Most people just drive or hitch a ride with a friend. Most of the party scene is literally within a 10 minute walking distance though, so you don't really have to worry about transportation. If there are big events downtown, usually there are buses provided. Everything is pretty cheap in New Orleans. The streetcar is also right in front of the school and taxis are always available on campus.

The Tulane Experience Is Like None Other.
You will never find another school like Tulane. It's very unique, mostly because you are in one of the most unique cities in the world. The night life will make your hometown seem boring, and I'm from New York. Tulane is also unique because while the partying is awesome, the people, though immature, are smart and going somewhere in life. You might screw up your freshman year, academically, but you learn a lot about time management from it. Only thing is it's a pretty small campus so get ready to know everything about everyone's business, and them knowing all about you as well. Overlap will occur, so make sure you know the person you're hooking up with hasn't been hooking up with any sluts or manwhores (to avoid sti's ew.) But, it's a pretty surreal experience because you get the best of everything.
