Diversity at University of Missouri

B

A Bit More Diversity

We as a school need more diversity. I'm not saying that Mizzou doesn't have a wide variety of students that attend, and fill it's classrooms but I think that we need more. There are, of course, a number of organizations that promote diversity among students but I don't know if its a lack of minority students or a lack of effort but I believe it could use a lot of work. From my personal experience the minority students stick to their own group/huddle and don't attempt to branch out much. For instance the University of Missouri's African American students have their own homecoming in addition to the school wide one, which brought much controversy this year. As I've said there are many clubs to join and be merry with but not enough SHOUT OUTS to let us know that they are here.

Athletics at University of Missouri

I Don't Know Much but I Know Something

I haven't been very active this past semester of my college year but from the times that I have gone to the gym I do enjoy it. MIzzou's machines are state of the art and if you don't work out inside then the campus is pretty big, so there's a good run there. There are different programs that you can sign up for with trainers or zumba classes that can be charged to your account. The only thing bad I can say is the lack of equipment. Mizzou's student intake is getting larger and the facilities are getting more cramped and there is almost always a line to use the equipment. The sports as you may know are out of this world. We just got transferred to

Drug Safety at University of Missouri

A-

Not Too Much

There isn't much open use of drug at the University of Missouri during the week but when Thursday night arrives the drugs come forth. It isn't like someone is walking down the street casually drinking beer with his/her friends but you can tell when some people are drunk. Usually when people drink they drink in groups and the police can't arrest them all so they sit in the back of the police car for five minutes which constitutes them as bring arrested. As far as peer pressure goes there hasn't been any that i've seen. Drinking and Marijuana are the drugs of choice.
