Safe but Expensive
If you're planning on parking at Spelman here are a few things to keep in mind.
1. Load your pockets- The last time someone mentioned how much they were paying to park at Spelman they said it was about $400 per semester.
2. Don't buy too many groceries- Unless you live in the dorm called The Suites or Morehouse-James you will not be that close to your car, so if you're planning on stocking up on groceries make sure you pull your car out of the garage first!
3. DON'T BE A FRESHMAN!- Sorry ladies, "Fresh-Women" are not permitted to have cars on campus. Well, you're not permitted to purchase those lovely parking passes.

Meet Your Friend Ms. Marta
Public transportation is not the best at Spelman, but it is also not the worst. Spelman offers a shuttle that runs from campus to the campus library and to the MARTA station. The MARTA is a local train station that can take you anywhere from the local malls to various restaurants and businesses. It is very convenient and if you get a riding pass, it is relatively inexpensive.
