Local Atmosphere at Saint Joseph's University

A

A Lot to Do, Very Close

The school offers a very safe and picturesque atmosphere while also being in a major city, yet close enough to the mainline and valley forge park to escape from the day to day. Being located at the overbrook stop on the R5 makes it easy to go into the city in about 5 minutes and down the mainline to many shopping locations and dining options. The school offers a lot of extras like buses into the city for restaurant week or to the King of Prussia mall for world class shopping. Nightlife directly surrounding campus isn't stellar, but Manayunk (where most upperclassman live) is extremely fun and offers a lot of shops, bars, cafes and art galleries. Overall a lot to offer.

Academics at Saint Joseph's University

A

Food Marketing

One of only a few schools in the country that offers FMK and they excel at it. It is the biggest major in the business school offering a lot of internship and scholarship possibilities as well as a much higher chance at getting a job with a big company like Pepsi or Kraft. Professors have all worked for major food companies or retailers and provide great first hand experience.
