Being a Business Major

Being a Business major at Miami is difficult, but exciting. Being one of the most competitive programs in the nation, it is hard to get into. However, that's what makes it great. The professors really know their material, and teach it well. I love being a Business major here.

Facilities at Miami

Miami University has the best facilities for students. Our Rec Center is really geared toward students, having an Olympic sized swimming pool, a huge weight room, a climbing wall, four basketball courts, and more. We also have soccer fields, disc golf, and volleyball in most quads. The library has everything a good student needs to get work done. We have great restaurants uptown, with art stores and coffee shops as well. Every building on campus is made of our famous red brick, and sit on gorgeous gardens. The campus is renowned for how beautiful it is.

Miami's Policies

Miami is fairly strict about their rules. Also, since it is in a small town, we have both city cops and campus cops, and there are tons of them. Underage drinking is really hard to do, especially if you lie in the dorms. If you get caught, there are really heavy fines, and twice could mean getting kicked out of the University. Despite all this, people do it all the time and don't get caught. So just don't be an idiot, and you should be fine!

Academics at Miami

The academics here are great. All of the professors here know what they are talking about, as most of them have prior experience in their respective field. Miami also offers a wide range of topics that you can study, which is nice because you will probably change your major more than once.

The People Here

Miami students are known for who they are, a very East coast group. Guys in Sperry's, and girls in tights. However we have lots of different types of people here, you just have to know where to find them. And the girls have often been rated as some of the best-looking in the country, just another plus.
