Dining Halls
Whitman College has three dining halls: Prentiss, Jewett, and Lyman. My favorite dining hall to eat at is Prentiss, because it has a very nice selection for vegetarians. I feel that Prentiss also tends to have a healthier selection for food as well. However, I really like the layout of Jewett's dining hall: very long tables that allows space for big groups to eat at without fear of having to separate. Also, if you're very craving for burgers, Jewett tends to have them weekly. Lyman is a very great dining hall if you're going with a small group of friends, because it allows you to really chat and hear what others are saying. It's a small and intimate setting. If you have a busy schedule or are thinking of going on a date, the Reid Campus Center is the way to go. It sells burgers, pizzas, and the special of the week (ex: Taste of Sicily). Generally, if you get tired of the dining hall, Reid is where your normally go to.

Nightlife
During the weekdays, the nightlife in terms of parties are non-existent, because students are generally studying or hanging out very low-key. During this time, there are usually lectures to go to, as well as events put on by WEB. For instance, last week, the "love doctor" came to visit and afterwards, a mixing session took place. On the weekends, there are parties as well as alternative events, such as open-mic nights and simply hanging out in your own dorm. This upcoming Friday, a residence hall is putting on a party titled "Rave in the Pit." There's always something to do.

Overall Experience
Whitman has been an amazing experience, and I truly love it. Here, everyone finds a balance between social life and academic life, so no one particularly feels out of place for studying too much or socializing too much. Everyone plays hard, but also works hard as well. Everyone is kind, friendly, and it is easy to make friends. I love Whitman.
