Just committed to ASU and I am wondering what the best dorm is for coed.
The biggest dorms on campus are east and justice. They are pretty old though! Both are coed though. App heights is a crowd pleaser bc it is apartment style and guys and girls are allowed to live there.
The best dorm is most likely Cone Hall. It is the most recently renovated dorm hall there is.
is it true that if you dont apply and get accepted into an RLC then you dont get a choice of which dorm you get???
How is the Business and Marketing BA program at ECU?
I am not in the Business and Marketing program, but I know that it is one of the biggest majors at ECU, and it has been nationally accredited. As far as I know it is a very good program.
How is the marketing school at App?
It is very well known and one of the best within the state of North Carolina. Go App!
Why should I go to Appalachian State rather than ECU?
Appalachian has smaller class sizes. You can get to know your professors better.
Although ECU is thought of as being "on the coast" it's actually still an hour away from the beach. At App, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking trails, rivers with rapids, and 3 ski slopes are all really close. If you love the outdoors, App is absolutely the best choice.
Greenville is kind of dangerous, Boone is a safe town.
Why should I go to ECU over Appalachian State?
Depends on your major. Science related majors should attend ECU.
You really shouldn't. Employers will respect Appalachian State more than ECU, unless you're going to ECU for something medical related. App is prettier too.
Does UNCW have a great workout center? This is a big deal to me.
UNCW has an amazing recreation center! A $13 million addition was just made to our original rec. center. Now it offers a variety of workout equipment, two new pools, and many other things. It is definitely the best gym in the state.
That sounds awesome. So I take it that the gym is not very crowded?
With the new addition to the gym (which coincidentally opened the Friday before last), there is literally so much space and equipment, I honestly think the whole student body could be workin' out at the same time and there would not be a problem! Amazin' addition!
Why should I pick ASU over NC State?
I am from out of state so I am unsure but I do love ASU. It is a beautiful campus and the Appalachian culture is very interesting
The scenery, its more personalized, and their are a lot of outdoor activities!
NC State doesn't offer a lot of majors, especially in the liberal arts like Art, Theatre, and Music. App has those things so if that's you're interest go there. State a GIGANTIC school with a large average class size, so if you want individualized attention come to App. And if you love outdoor activities like skiing, hiking, and camping there's no better place than Boone, everything is only minutes away.
What is the best dorm to live in freshman year at App?
White Hall, it's an all girls dorm and I was in the Residential Learning Community for The Sisterhood Experience, I enjoyed it. The dorm itself is near main campus and the rooms are nice (newly renovated.
How is the Industrial and Product Design school at App?
I am not all too familiar with the program, but have only heard positive remarks from my friends going through it.
Product design is also a cool department, they work with a lot of the other departments to get really innovative things.
ECU is known as a party school, this being said, what is the culture like on campus?
It's very laid back and welcoming. Everyone makes you feel at home. True southern hospitality everywhere on campus.
People talk, but it's not as crazy as people make it out to be. It's a college, with rowdy teens and young adults.. what do you expect?
To interact and contribute on College Prowler, registration is required. Don't worry, it's free, secure, and only takes a few minutes.
