Very Safe
The campus is very safe, and no one that I know has ever had an issue with their personal safety here. Public Safety is great as long as you are polite to them. It's better to keep your doors locked at night on the weekends to avoid incidences with confused drunk people.

Rather Diverse, Very Accepting
The majority of the students here are white, but there are many other ethnic groups and religions represented on campus as well. Everyone that I have met is very accepting of others of different races, economic backgrounds, religions, and sexual orientations. Middlebury students are always up for a good political debate, and you won't be judged because of your views.

Local Transport Good
Buses run into town periodically during the day. At night you can call Midd Rides for a free ride into or back from town. There are break buses to Burlington, New York, and Boston, but otherwise you need a car or a ride from someone to go long distances.

Fairly Plentiful
There are computers in many different spots on campus. The campus has both PCs and Macs. Almost everyone has their own computer, but there are definitely ways to access computers on campus.

Snow
It snows a lot in Middlebury. It starts getting cold in mid-autumn. It is usually very chilly walking to class in the morning, but by the afternoon in autumn it usually warms up.
