URI Crime Prevention
Overall, Uri has been relatively safe. They have many stations around campus that you can reach in case of an emergency. Uri has their own campus police. With all of these resources at hand there has been several muggings and computer theft. I happy to say that nothing extreme has happen but theft is still a big issue on campus.

Housing at URI Is Painful
Uri has tried a new way to distribute housing the past two years. There are only two buildings that are brand new and actually enjoyable to live in. The rest unfortunately are run down and are swarming with cockroaches. Housing is a pain to figure out because in order to get a five, four, or ten person sweet you need the exact amount of people to apply. Not only is this tedious but it is all done electronically which allows for many problems to occur. Lastly, housing on campus is ridiculously expensive. The average cost is about 4,500 per semester.

Transportation for URI
Transportation is pretty good for those that are injured on campus or unable to drive. There are busses and shuttles that are transporting students at all times.
