This campus is an extremely safe one. I have never felt in danger here. There are boxes all around campus that you can hit if you feel unsafe and the campus police will be notified. Also, people can not come in the freshman dorm rooms without showing their ID to the desk receptionists and you need to check in and out all guests. Also, if you're feeling unsafe a cop can give you a ride to any place on campus free of charge.

I enjoyed the curriculum offered at UNCW, but some of the required courses are extremely unnecessary. The professors I have had are generally pretty good and interested in their course topics; however, I don't like how the level of how hard it is ranges based on the professors and not the courses.

The freshman dorms on campus are pretty old and a lot of people complain about them. However, I'm having an overall good experience in mine. I love the people I live with and the water pressure is surprisingly nice. Also, the upperclassmen are able to have really nice on-campus housing. They're spacious and pretty up to date. My only advice when choosing your housing is to stay away from the University Apartments. They're constantly having mold problems and are ancient.

I love this school; however, some parts of the education are flawed. The professors are very varied and some can be a lot easier than others on the same course. I have had friends who have had the same courses as me and had far less of a course load than mine and vise-versa. Overall, though, I have found the professors to be helpful and good teachers.
