NYU Prepares for Real Life

New York University's integration within New York City makes it stand apart from most traditional college campuses. Students live in the city and walk on city streets to attend class, eat, etc. Every day we pass by regular people doing their daily business, deal with crazy taxi drivers, and get to experience real New York life. Because of this, the students at NYU become more independent much quicker than students who live on a traditional campus and rarely leave the confines of the school. Students here also become much more independent. While the transition is often dramatic for most incoming freshmen and transfers, the integration becomes something most come to appreciate.
