Hard Drugs Are Hard to Find, Cognative Enhancement Drugs More Popular
In the study lounges and on the bus you'll regularly hear about kids taking adderall and ritalin or caffeine pills to study, but that seems to be a regular university thing, and it's not like you feel pressured to get into that too to compete. Aside from that, not many kids do hard drugs, or talk about them openly. It's very easy to avoid coming across that crowd. Weed is the most common drug, but alcohol is the main "drug" of choice. Most BC kids seem hard core drug-free being Jesuit and all that.

Super Strict Ras
BC is scary strict, especially with the freshman class. The RAs are not to be messed with. They are allowed to come into your room anytime and look around, they just can't open your closets and friges. They will knock on your door if you make a lot of noise. Campus police regularly prowls on weekends, busting parties sometimes before 12, so the party scene suffers, and people have to be super quiet.

Fair.
Going to the city is easier than for other colleges, but it can be a pain still. A 15-minute car ride to the city becomes a 1 hour commute via a bus to the train station, then the train ride to the city. This is decent enough though, kids who desperately need to get away can easily go to the city every day. Around campus you need to deal with lots of stairs and hills, but it's not too bad. The walkways arent smoothly paved because BC is this old campus. There's a bus that goes around the campus that you can take to the train stations, to off-campus housing sites nearby, to off-campus eating areas and stores, and around the campus if youre lazy, although the campus can be walked across in 20 mins or so. The buses stop running at 2 AM though, which is a pain for the kids who live off-campus who are in the libraries til 4. Some kids sleep in the libraries because of this, although you can call for vans to escort you to where you live around campus within a 2 mile radius, but sometimes they don't show up.

I Hope You Like Sandwiches and Fast-Food Type Food
The food's was ranked amazing by someone, and I don't see why. They serve something that changes everyday, home cooked-type food, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bland. It's your typical campus, buffet style food. They also have a vegan, vegetarian prepackaged food section which is alright. They have sandwhiches and wraps pre-made too, and there's a dining hall which features sandshiches and burgers. A lot of kids live off yoghurt or cereal or the salad bars in the dining halls. There are two large dining halls and two smaller ones that are only open sometimes. One problem is that no freshmen get kitchens, and not many sophomores do, and if you don't have one you're forced to pay 4400 a year for a meal plan, forced. And so many kids don't eat this much, and so are left with tons of money that doesn't carry over to the next school year so kids buy others meals or buy bulk packages at the end of the year. A few creative kids buy food and give it to homeless people when they go to the city.

Jesuit. Conservative. Community Service.
If you're conservative you'll fit right in, if you're liberal, you'll notice and have issues with the conservatism. BC is Jesuit. And you can feel it. It's obsessed with community service, which is good. They seem to want to push you towards devoting your life to service, or helping other people. A few have noted that BC is very good at inspiring kids to do community service, but not to fight for justice. BC is a very "nice person" school- people are obsessed with holding the doors for others too, and being polite, but one thing is that kids aren't upfront when they should be about stuff- like people are too "polite" to talk about race because they fear offending people. In general though, the school is very concerned with student spiritual well-being, they inspire you to think about life seriously, and doing what you love while if not serving God (Jesuit), helping other people. The school main activities that kids participate in are spiritual, not strictly Catholic, retreats, and service trips. Other cons include that BC's official policy is homophobic- they banned a GLBT dance a couple of years ago- while a lot of kids aren't homophobic, a number are. This is not a school where GBLTs will come out of the closet or where kids explore sexuality. As loving as the Jesuits are, this is a big issue.

VERY BAD
There's an asian table, a black table... There are three white guys who hang out with the asians and are known by all the asians as "the white guy who hangs out with the asians" and are accused of having asian fetishes. You feel like a minority as a non-white individual. Race is such a touchy topic because people like to avoid conflict or seeming like a racist, so it's not acknowledged. Personality diversity is bad too, students are all conservative, and preppy. There won't be any people with pink, purple dyed hair, or goths and skaters, or that many hipsters.
