Being a Pharmacy Major at Northeastern University

I am a Pharmacy major at Northeastern University. My major is one of those that everyone, other than the girls I know in the Nursing program, consider to be the hardest. To be honest, I am not surprised, because at Northeastern Pharmacy majors become Doctors of Pharmacy within 6 years.

The Pharmacy program is filled with extracurricular activities, hard courses and amazing Co-op opportunities for those, who have successfully passed their second year of education. We work very hard in order to achieve our goals. Our professors try to help us as much as they can and give us advise on how to prepare for their classes.

Overall, I love the program because of how hard it makes me work and how much I know that all of my hard work will pay off in the end!

Parking at Northeastern University

There Is No Need for a Car

We have two subway stations right next to our campus. I think that there is no need to have a car. Parking around Boston is almost impossible.

Overall Experience at Northeastern University

A

I Love It!

Northeastern almost became a second home to me. If I could it over - I would. Fortunately, I do not have to do it over, since I am still there and enjoying every moment that I am there!

Our Professors

Our Professors come from all over the world. Some professors come from Russia, others from Nigeria, others from France, others are from India and much more.

These professors are world travelers and come to class wishing to pass their knowledge on to the next generation of students, hoping that one day - we will return the favor and teach students ourselves.

Our professors are extremely knowledgeable and just awesome as people!

You will have a lot of fun, if you study well.

Athletic Facilities

if your day starts with going to the gym - then Northeastern was meant for you!

We have two gyms on-campus that are free for all students. one of them has a track, elipticals, virtual bicycles, stair master, a rock-climbing machine,a weight-lifting room, 3 basketball/soccer courts, and many other great ways to start your morning with a great exercise.

If, however, you do not enjoy the variety listed above - you have the option of attending our second gym, where we have a swimming pool, soccer field, basketball court, etc.

Our facilities are more than satisfactory, and I encourage you to try them out!

Drug Safety at Northeastern University

A-

Why Do Some Students Use Drugs

I want to start by saying that peer pressure is not the case. No one is going to force you into drinking or using drugs. Students here come to college and want to embrace all the freedom they can, so they go looking for ways to get in trouble. Most of them get caught, and their ideology of college being a free place is crushed miserably, yet people still through parties, smoke weed, and do other stuff.

at Northeastern most students do not drink and/or use drugs, which, to be honest, is amazing, being that we are located in Boston.

Overall, college students want to prove that they are mature free adults and show that by drinking and other not so bright things.
