Not That Bad
I am from California and everyone kept telling me I was going to freeze in Michigan. It honestly hasn't been that cold so far. It's December and the sun is still up and it has only snowed a few times. I run everyday and there is still plenty to do even when the nights are chilly. Don't let the weather scare you about coming here!

Always Safe
I walk home from the library sometimes very late at night back to my dorm and I always feel safe. Campus is completely lit up and there are always people walking around. When you're going out on the weekends it's definitely a good idea to stay with a group of friends and even bring $5 just in case you need to take a cab home. People really look out for each other here so I never feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Great School Spirit
Michigan has amazing school spirit. Almost everyone sports at least some sort of Michigan gear whether it be a shirt, hat, or even water bottle. Everyone goes to the football games and basketball popularity is growing. The school spirit really unites the huge Michigan community. Football Saturdays are crazy and basically the campus revolves around the athletics and school pride. Go Blue!

Many options!
Because Michigan is such a big school, there are so many academic opportunities. The classes range from large to small and it is a good idea to try a little of both. I haven't had any problem getting the classes that I needed and for the most part my teachers have been great! I don't feel lost in class even though people often criticize the large class sizes. We have some of the top academic programs in the nation so even if you are undecided there is no way to go wrong!
