Excellent Wireless in Academic Buildings, Not in Dorms
The library and several academic buildings on campus all have computer labs. All academic buildings have excellent wireless. Not all dorms have wireless. The two I have lived in I have needed to use an ethernet cord. The school offers 400 free printing pages per semester for undergraduates and you can either print from the computers in the library or wirelessly and pick the print up in the library. I believe that it is possible to solely use the campus computers but for ease and reliability I would highly recommend that students bring their own laptops. I don't believe that a printer is necessary unless you tend to forget to print papers right before class, in which case you'll be late to class waiting in line for the printers in the library.

Expensive but Lots of Options.
Boston is full of apartments. There are many options within walking distance to campus. However, apartments in Boston are extremely expensive. I personally have not gone through the apartment-hunting process but have many friends who have. Many of them have reported that dealing with realtors can be frustrating. Realtors charge quite a bit and you have to be careful not to be taken advantage of. The cost of living off campus (especially with roommates) is generally less than living on campus. However, you lose the security and reliability that the school provides. Parking is a nightmare in Boston in general so I wouldn't recommend bringing a car.
